Where Compassion Meets Companionship

A Seniors in Service Senior Companion Program member sits outside with his AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer companion.

Mr. Roscoe Prince is 98 years old, and his Senior Companion volunteer Joyce has made a real difference in his day-to-day life. She helps him keep a steady routine with meals, reading, a little light exercise, and a good movie now and then. Most of all, Joyce shows up bringing company, care, and the kind of support that helps Mr. Roscoe stay independent at home.
