In-person Visits To Support Senior Independence and Connection
Available in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.
Our Senior Companion Program matches trained volunteers (age 55+) with seniors or adults with disabilities who need regular social connection or non-medical support. Senior Companions visit clients’ homes weekly to offer friendship, share hobbies, and assist with simple tasks and errands.
All volunteers pass a Level II background check, receive 20 hours of orientation, and mandatory monthly training. The Senior Companion Program is licensed by AHCA for Homemaker and Companion Services and nationally affiliated with AmeriCorps Seniors.
This free service helps seniors age at home, reduces isolation, and provides respite for caregivers.
