Have You Ever Dined in the Dark?

Representatives from HCA Florida South Shore Hospital present a sponsorship donation to Seniors in Service in support of the Dining in the Dark fundraiser for blind and low vision seniors.

What would it be like to enjoy a meal without your sense of sight? Dining in the Dark invites guests to experience the daily challenges faced by older adults who are blind or living with low vision. This one-of-a-kind fundraising event combines education, empathy, and community support while raising funds for programs that help seniors maintain independence and connection. Attendees will enjoy dinner in complete darkness, hear personal stories from members of the Blind and Low Vision Support Group, and gain a deeper understanding of life with vision loss.

Experience “Dining in the Dark” and walk a mile in the shoes of seniors with low or no vision. Join us for this unique fundraiser where diners will be blindfolded and enjoy a buffet-style meal in complete darkness. A member of our Blind and Low Vision Support Group will share insights into their daily lives. Tickets are just $15 each, and sponsorship opportunities are available. Stay tuned for more details!
